It’s Die Hard in a [space station].

Yeah, pretty much. On the day that NASA sends a new satellite into space, one that conspiracy theorists believe will be used to spy on terrorist groups, a militia group called the Diamondbacks embark on their mission to shut it down by any means possible. To do this, they take over the tiniest, most insecure, space-tracking system in the world, which only has two staffers on duty during one of the most important launches in recent history. One employee soon becomes unimportant, but the other will cause many problems for the militia in their goal to take back the government that they believe has wronged them.

It’s a formulaic action film with NASA stock footage, bad stunts, guns that don’t require reloading, two really bad car chases, a “Huh?” ending dealing with “suicide,” and so much more. Really, it’s nothing that hasn’t been seen before, and with that, done much better. But hey, I’m a sucker for the formula, and it’s put to use well here.
The most notable part of Diamondbacks is actor Miles O’Keeffe, who made a small name for himself starring in 80s schlock like Tarzan, The Ape Man. O’Keeffe, for whatever reason, literally looks like he’s about to cry in half his scenes.
