Decent little urban horror entry from genre director Danny Draven has three rappers getting lured to a strip club only to be accosted by the usual group of vampire strippers who want to rule the world and such.

If there’s anything worthwhile about this cheap cash-in on the success of the urban genre (nearly everyone behind the production is very, very white), it’s another appearance by Andre “Chyna” McCoy. Just like he did in Random Acts of Violence, Chyna busts out an impressive appearance that only solidifies my fanfare of the man. He plays another hard ass, “less talk, more punch” character, which is definitely good, considering the man’s strengths lie in being intense rather than acting. It’s his job to come to the wanna-be gangster’s aid when they fall into the trap of the vampires.

Cryptz falls apart towards the end, with the characters getting separated only for nothing interesting to happen, but overall, it’s nothing too bad.

DVD: A long behind-the-scenes featurette is included, along with the feature film Ragdoll.
